Modular artist visuals

MELT developed a modular performance-visual package for Two Friends, built to transform a single scenic world across a live set.

The system moves between desert terrain, vine overgrowth, party-mode color, and atmospheric transitions. Foreground, midground, and background loops were designed as coordinated layers so the show could shift environments while retaining one recognizable visual language.

The two featured loops are a focused selection from the larger 22-piece motion toolkit developed for the project.

Show-content strategy

The project demonstrates how a compact visual toolkit can create variety without losing the artist's core look. That structure is useful for DJ visuals, touring packages, festival edits, and playback systems where operators need flexible content that still feels authored.

For electronic artists, a visual package often has to work across clubs, festivals, headline rooms, and social clips. The Two Friends system was designed around modular scene changes so the content could shift energy without requiring a completely separate look for every song. Desert terrain, vine growth, color modes, and transition wipes gave the show team multiple ways to move through a set.

The project is also a good example of why artist visuals are not just background animation. They help define the audience's memory of the show, give lighting and video teams a common visual language, and create a repeatable identity that can travel with the artist across different screen formats.
