Adventure Club Tour Visuals Case Study

MELT built and operated Adventure Club’s touring visual world across multiple show cycles, from comic-book-inspired content in 2014 to the When Darkness Falls cityscape stage and the narrative Red/Blue era.

A visual system built to tour

For the 2014–2015 shows, MELT created superhero-themed content and logo animations, then traveled with the duo as their VJ team. The system kept evolving for appearances including EDC, Spring Awakening, and Digital Dreams instead of remaining a fixed playback package.

The When Darkness Falls stage

For the fall 2015 tour, MELT moved from content into the physical stage environment. The team developed the cityscape from rough sketches through digital drafting and fabrication, using specialized carts for movable 8mm LED elements. Custom-mapped environments were designed to fit the scenic geometry while the modular build scaled across different venue sizes. The one-month tour reached 18 major U.S. cities.

Content that could keep evolving

In 2016, new lyric-driven timecode videos, branded pieces, and environments extended the established visual language for festival stages including EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza. The 2017 package shifted toward anime artwork, video-game landscapes, and an unfolding story tied to tracks from Red/Blue.
