Datsik Shogun Stage Tour Visuals

After the projection-mapped Vortex, Datsik's next touring production was called The Shogun Stage. Introduced for the 2017 Ninja Nation Tour, the new build traded projection for an architectural LED system shaped like a Japanese temple: layered rooflines, a central portrait screen, angled side walls, and a wraparound DJ booth all became part of one continuous canvas.

MELT created custom visual content for the Shogun's many LED surfaces and toured with the production across the 2017 and 2018 Ninja Nation runs. The content had to read as a single composition across a fragmented, asymmetrical screen map while still leaving room for lighting, lasers, smoke, and the artist at the center of the structure.

The result was a flexible live show built for the road. Bold linework, masks, symbols, architectural patterns, and high-contrast color systems could transform the entire stage from a glowing temple into a graphic machine-without relying on projection alignment or projector throw in a new venue every night.
