A touring stage built to move

Conceived by Morgan Lavery for Borgore, the Cream Machine transformed the DJ booth into a custom LED ice cream truck. Layered foreground and background content created forced-perspective journeys through candy land, underwater, outer space, video-game worlds and darker environments—making the stationary stage appear to drive.

The touring scenic system paired real headlights, taillights, a steering wheel and dashboard with motorized 30-inch rims and a fiberglass roof cone fitted with its own speaker. Audience-facing ice cream cannons completed the concept with foam and confetti effects.

Screen system

Forty-seven CHAUVET Professional MVP 18 panels formed the truck's main façade, 18 panels created the screen behind the DJ booth, and two custom-width modules completed the front. The structure was engineered to retain its dimensional illusion while packing into a trailer for touring.
